Reflexology

Reflexology is an ancient healing art and dates back thousands of years to the ancient Egyptians. It is fast becoming one of the most popular complementary therapies in the UK.

Eunice lngham, an American therapist rediscovered Reflexology in the 1930s and developed charts identifying speciļ¬c points on the hands and feet that refer to all organs, glands and parts of the body.

Reflexology is a unique method of using thumbs and fingers on reflex areas to reduce stress, improve circulation and encourage the body to achieve homeostasis (its natural balance).

Reflexology is a non-intrusive complementary health therapy which is based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet and hands. Reflexologists work holistically with their clients and aim to work alongside conventional healthcare to promote better health for their clients.

A treatment session usually last between 45-60 minutes. A practitioner will start with a full consultation to get an accurate picture of your health and general lifestyle.

All medical conditions can be treated and it is usually recommended that you have 4-6 weekly treatments initially. After a treatment, make sure to drink plenty of water to encourage your body to rid itself of toxins. Take time to relax and allow all the stresses of life to melt away.
