I have been working in Complementary Therapy since 1997, initially as a Healer and then after training with the International Institute of Reflexology I qualified in 2005 as a Reflexologist.
LEARN MOREHi, my name is Lou and I initially qualified in healing and then later in reflexology through the International Institute of Reflexology in 2005.
I have experience in palliative care and have worked as part of an NHS palliative care team.
Northern Reflexology is currently based at the Deepcar Medical Centre, but appointments can be arranged in central Sheffield if required.

"I suffer from a number of complex chronic diseases for which I receive an extensive number of conventional medical therapies. While these are necessary and indeed life saving they do not provide holistic all round care. I have therefore explored a number of more holistic “complementary” therapies to optimise my health and well being as much as possible. Two of which I have found particularly helpful are mindfulness and healing.
l have to admit that despite welcoming the opportunity to have therapy with healing as a retired paediatric consultant I had some reservations about whether it would really be effective. However, therapy from Lou has unquestionably persuaded me of its usefulness.
She has a gentle, calming presence as soon as you meet her even before she begins therapy. During therapy the sensation from her hands is amazing; a combination of warmth and tingling which is very comforting. She is even able to produce this effect when her hands are not actually touching me as I discovered when l commented on how nice her hands felt on my head only to discover they were actually about 12 inches above my head!
She is very in tune with both my body and psychology and my sessions with her always leave me feeling generally re-energised and with improved well-being. This is reflected by the fact that I have now been seeing Lou for 2-3 years. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone considering healing therapy and will certainly continue to see her myself."

"I've had reflexology and healing treatments from Lou for about 6 years. I have also seen her give treatments to people who have serious illnesses during the same time period.
Lou is a very caring person and has a calm relaxed manner which puts you at ease. She is sensitive and knows when a friendly chat is helpful and when to continue quietly with treatment. When working with seriously ill people she works alongside traditional medical treatment to help with symptom control.
During reflexology treatments I ususally find as Lou works, several areas on my feet are more sensitive. When I ask her which areas of the body they relate to, she tells me and it is always something that has been causing me difficulty but I haven't told her about it. The reflexology treatments finish with a foot massage with a choice of foot creams. Bliss!
During and after healing treatments I can feel my energy improving and feel much better after sessions.
